Welcome to Tally-ho Pups!

Hi, I'm Abbie and I provide one to one sessions in Huntingdonshire, either at your home or in the local area, to dogs of all ages, to support you with any behavioural problems.

I use modern, positive reward based techniques during all of my training sessions and heavily advise against aversive methods such as prong collars, shock collars, choke chains and dominance theory. Numerous studies have found that dogs who were trained with aversive methods are more likely to have behavioural problems and exhibit stress, whilst the owners reported higher cases of aggression, hyperactivity and anxiety.

Not only is reward based training better for a dog's welfare but it also provides good behavioural enrichment in their lives. Dog training should be fun for you and for your dog! Dogs learn better in a happy, relaxed environment and training is a fantastic way to strengthen your relationship with them.
